Africa Blue Economy Alliance’s basic and advanced capacity development programs brings together governments officials, development partners, the civil society and the private sector through capacity development initiatives to help build the skills that are required for effective governance, system knowledge, regulatory and policy development, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication within the blue economy space.
Africa’s people need to be equipped with skills necessary to participate in various economic activities within the blue economy.
To achieve this, African countries need to put in place governance, policy, and legal frameworks necessary to provide access to its population to access capital, convene services and access the technical assistance needed to unlock the potential for sustainably managing its aquatic ecosystems and growing the blue economy for economic development across sectors while making space for conservation.
